Brian has been an artist for
around 12 years although he has just recently decided to turn professional.
Wildlife forms a large part of Brian's paintings, which
demonstrates his love of birds and animals. His wildlife paintings are mainly
done in the drawing media of graphite, charcoal and pastel. His work has
been published in Leisure Painter, Wildscape and Wildlife Art magazines and
the local Currie and Balerno News. An example of his colour work is shown
below.
Next would come the natural landscapes and seascapes
that are mainly done in watercolour or acrylic. Coming from Scotland he has
a wealth of resource on his doorstep. He is also a keen walker and enjoys
numerous holidays in Austria that also provides inspiration for painting.
He has a love of ships, engines and planes and
completes these in all the media mentioned above.
More examples of all his work can be viewed in the
galleries.
